Dog owners are known to be defensive of their dogs and protecting them like their own children. but a 19-year-old dog mother from California may have gone a snarl too far after she bit a jogger, allegedly in response to an attack on the dog.

According to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle, a woman jogger was attacked by a dog in the park. In a move to defend herself, the jogger pepper-sprayed the dog.

Little did she know that though she may have saved herself from the dog bite, the dog owner Alma Cadwalader was just as feral about protecting her misbehaving pooch. When Cadwalader found her dog being pepper sprayed by the jogger, she, in turn, attacked the latter with punches and kicks and then proceeded to bite the jogger in her forearm.
The incident took place in the Anthony Chabot Regional Park in Oakland. The bite attack left an angry red mark on the victim, a photo of which was shared by the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department.

According to the statement, the accused was booked under associated charges.
