A man filed a complaint against doctors of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) for leaving a scissor in his wife’s abdomen during surgery.
Two doctors have been booked for alleged medical negligence. The case was registered against them on various charges, including causing hurt by an act of endangering life or personal safety of others, they said.
NIMS Director K Manohar told PTI that a three member team would conduct an inquiry into the incident.
He said, “the patient complained of pain in her abdomen. She had undergone a hernia surgery on 2 November, 2018. Today, an artery forcep was found in her abdomen after tests. The medical team removed it after an operation. She is stable now. The internal committee will investigate it”
